About Jonathan

Jonathan Hoehn has been playing and performing for a long time. Before he can even remember, he was blowing on his dad's trumpet. By third grade, Jonathan was playing in the middle school band, and by sixth grade was playing in the high school band. Many evenings would find Jonathan's parents sitting at the piano bench, mom playing the piano, dad bumping along with his trumpet. There was constant music in the house, and the young boy was mesmerized early. "My parents seemed to recognize that I was a bit musical and encouraged me to work hard at that. I was taught that consistent practice pays dividends - with trumpet and life."

Jonathan decided early in high school that he wanted to be a trumpet performance major in college, and pursued that dream with great coaches and in numerous groups along the way. After graduating with a trumpet performance major in 1989, Jonathan began teaching music and performing in as many opportunities as were available.

Today, Jonathan pursues as many performance occasions as possible. "I'm determined to take advantage of the numerous and amazing opportunities I have been blessed with. So I work hard every day to perfect my craft, because I want my music to bring peace and comfort to people who need hope."

My Imagination is the culmination of Jonathan's musical journey to date. "I wanted to take some of the most beautiful and timeless songs which have been recorded thousands of times, and apply my own  passion and creativity. Partnering with DuneTunes Recording for engineering and production has been a fantastic decision."
