Two musicians. Two lives shaped by music, challenged by the unexpected.

Greg Nelson — a gifted jazz pianist facing the realities of Alzheimer’s.

Jonathan Hoehn — a professional jazz trumpet player, ABI (acquired brain injury) survivor, and lifelong dreamer. Together, they’re creating a jazz album and companion documentary that explores friendship, resilience, and the power of music to reach places words cannot.

- Arranged by Cuban piano phenom Ahmed Alom

- Chesney Street Project as supporting band 

- Scheduled for release in Fall 2026

Produced and Directed by award-winning filmmaker Peter Logue, the film will chronicle the making of the album — from interviews, studio, rehearsals and the final concert— while telling the deeply personal story behind it. It’s a celebration of music, friendship, and the human spirit in the face of challenge and change. Upon completion, it wil be submitted to Sundance Film Festival and other select film festivals.

This project isn’t just about music.

It’s about raising awareness for brain health, stroke recovery, and Alzheimer’s research — and proving that creativity can thrive no matter the obstacles.
